Hi Guys today i have got N900 for trial frm frds over womworld.this is truly amazing device and I want to thank Lydia for arrange it for me.
Hands on video:–
Its clear that N900 is nothing to do with other Nokia N series device its completely different by them.its comes with full qwerty keyboard & WVGA screen which is not too frequent to see in other smart phones.its based on maemo 5.0 OS (Linux-based platform).
N900 BOX CONTAIN :
The box of N900 contain all u need or expect. Nokia N900, BL-5J battery, usb charger, headsfree, cleaning cloth, Tv-out cable, usb cable and which we need most the old charger converter into new one.
WEB BROWSING :
Web browsing is totally awesome on N900 its gives like desktop browsing. There is visual history, automatic form-filling and Google Search shortcut for maximum convenience. Double-tapping on a website will zoom it in to display. Another double tap and you are back at where you started. Panning and zooming is really fast and accurate well u can use volume keys also for zoom in and out. one of the most important features of the browser it support flash. Nokia N900 comes with full Adobe Flash 9.4 and not the Flash Lite that most other handsets support. I have never seen a handset handle Flash content as smoothly and quickly as the N900, we can watch flash online movies without any intruptions.
Messaging is to much fun on N900.its comes with Qwerty keyboard which describe its advantages in messaging its gonna be fav device for who sending messaging in bulk lol . I never had like this experience on any other device.sending msg is like chating on it means its create chats rooms for every persons u send or receive msg its helps to keep track previous msg well in my side its help me to track my bank accounts.
OVI MAPS (GPS) :
The N900 comes with built-in GPS which is very sensitive it can track our positions even indoor while its taking hour or not getting in my N95 which is the first Built-in GPS. U just have to open ovi maps & ta-da it got u on maps this is totally fun.The good thing is routing is free in it but misses voice guidance and 3d views not even if u want to pay for it but in future I think it will come soon.
MUSIC PLAYER :
N900 have all basic of any music player like shuffle, repeat etc it is not so much good on it. It doesn’t have any equalizers, no fancy animation but its ok for me.the opening icons of music player is just cool & when we enter in music gallery its shows music arts of music files which allow ease in selecting files.
In N900 u can watch any photo in any directions by the help of accelerometer means its atomatically switching screens frm landscape to poitrait. Well I miss tapping for zoom in gallery u have to use volume keys for zoom in–out.
In settings of N900 u got
- Themes allows u to change themes,
- Profiles allows u set profiles frm general to silent (this stt is very limited)
- Date & time
- Language ®ion,
- Disply allows u 2 to sts brightness level its really g8t and some other settings
- Notification lights this is pretty intresting settings there lots of color lights in N900 green, yellow, blue, white all for specific notification.
- Tv out its allow u to set between NTSC OR PAL
- And lots of other common settings.
Theirs two modes in calc one is basic and other scientific which makes it spl.
The file manger of N900 is just awesome. It has good look up and cool functioning its has all basic function like move , copy, paste, rename and sorting files.
APPLICATION MANAGER :
Well I don’t have any word for application manager of N900. U can upgrade ur device frm it. its have all u need It has the old Download feature which is omitted in N95 later which I miss a lot do u know guys I also got invitation for Mumbai on discussion over this application from nokia but unluckily I have exam on those days.
Lets back on the tour u can install , uninstall (basic feature of any app manager), upgrade, and download application.
There are some games available for it like the most hit game in store for N900 is angry birds, its really sticky game I have cleared all its level with 3-star rating in 2 hour of continous playing lol I m good at it.
All star in all lol
My score in level one:
Second level high score :
TASK SWITCHER :
Task switcher is amazing in N900. Its allow u 2 get back on the opened application or closing it instead. Well I opened abt 23 application one by one for testing its power and I totally amazed its can handle all pretty well there no hanging or slowness in ph whereas in N95 I cant open more than 3 application its get out of memory.
TV-OUT ON N900 :
As u can see some of my shots taken from tv its lookin really amazing on big screen i even try it on 40′ inch screen. well i share some strange shots when i get open N900 camera facing to the lcd look at what i got after : some kind of illusions
